James is the author of What Everyone Needs to Know about Tax published by Wiley early in 2017. He has been a tax accountant for 20 years and currently works for a ‘Big 4’ accountancy firm in London.
James is also the author of God’s Philosophers: How the Medieval World Laid the Foundations of Modern Science (Icon, 2009) which was shortlisted for the Royal Society Science Book Prize. His writings on the history of science are available at jameshannam.com.
He lives in Kent with his wife and two children, and is a borough councillor in Tunbridge Wells.
